FRIT 7739: Online Professional Development Element 3.1 Element 3.3 Element 3.4 Element 3.5
I have selected the FRIT 7739 practicum assignment of online staff development workshop to represent standard 3. This online module gives basic instructions to help troubleshoot teachers trying to implement Khan Academy into their classrooms during as an attempt to initiate blended learning and multiple representations. Teachers in my district were instructed to use Khan Academy and link their MAP scores using "mappers" but were not given training on how to do so. In creating this workshop I was able assist math teachers in the district with an additional tool to support students individual needs.
FRIT 7234: Element 3.2 Element 3.6
This assignment from FRIT 7234 required two web 2.0 tools that could be used in a digital learning environment to complete assessments or classroom activities. In the assignment we created 4 slides and then added them to one collaborative slide presentation using Google Forms. This assignment was a great way for me to share with others what I am doing in my classroom for students assessment and engagement as well as a gaining additional tools and resources from other educators.
FRIT 7233: Instructional Screencast Element 3.3 Element 3.4 Element 3.6
I created this instructional screencast for FRIT 7233 and believe that it is a good representation of standard 3. this alignment would work perfectly as a blended learning strategy to allow students to use adaptive technology for assessment. Students could use the recommended tool, iMovie, or select their own evaluation digital tool to demonstrate understanding. The screencast walks viewers through how to create an assessment using Google Forms that will self grade and produce instant data to assist in individualized planning for student success. I really enjoyed this assignment. It was my first introduction to screencasting and I've used this tool so many times since. I think it is very helpful for viewers to be able to pause and try the information being presented themselves. It allows for viewers to work at their own pace, and can be used in any setting for a blended learning experience.
FRIT 7739: Collaborative Digital Citizenship Unit Element 3.7
This artifact represents standard 3. This collaborative online module was created by the media specialist and I. Students also collaborated through the web 2.0 tool flipgrid and were able to access video made by their peers. Students also had to ability to virtually communicate through the Google Classroom platform to display their visual assessment memes. This resource was used to communicate the importance and meaning of digital identity with students. When students took the online module we took pictures of their activities and posted on the school twitter accounts to share their learning experiences with their parents, peers and community.
